Yvonne Hansen, Ed.D.

Co-Founder & Emeritus Board Member

Dr. Yvonne Hanse, along with Dr. Cecile DeWitt and Bob Englert, J.D. and others including parents, met several years ago to network and share resources necessary for parents and adult children. Their efforts evolved into PLANCTX, Inc. Yvonne began as an itinerant art teacher in rural schools near Madison, WI, then moved to Saudi Arabia and continued to teach art. Returning to the States, she joined a federally-funded drug and alcohol education and prevention program as a team facilitator. Her drive to learn led her to graduate school at age 50 after which she taught at university and college levels. Drawn to natural building, Yvonne has built homes of straw bales and cob (clay & sand) and developed tours of natural homes in the area. Her dedication to PLANCTX and to natural building continue. Several years ago she started the Eric W. Field Memorial Fund in memory of her late son. It helps those in dire need immediately access urgently needed resources through PLANCTX assistance.
